Welcome to spiritedcrone where the focus is on encouraging spirited change.  I'm Sande Ramage: writer, speaker, teacher, priest and singer in training.

Knowing that we're all born on fire with desire, as Ronald Rolheiser says, my spirituality is about what I do with the dis-ease prompted by the restlessness and vulnerablity of my human existence.

Living in the 21st century gives us the freedom to take control of our spirited search, listening to the wisdom of all religious traditions and sometimes figuring out our own hybrid version. So I follow the revolutionary teachings of Jesus, the Jewish teacher and mystic, without finding it necessary to turn him into God.

Most of us want to make some kind of difference to the world as part of dealing with our human restlessness.  We can do our bit by starting with knowing ourselves well, asking questions that get to the heart of the matter, challenging oppressive systems, taking risks and practicing compassion
